Description
- Fasting Blood Sugar (FBS)
- Postprandial Blood Sugar (PPBS)
- HbA1c (Glycated Hemoglobin)
- Lipid Profile
- Kidney Function Test (KFT)
- Urine Microalbumin
- Complete Blood Count (CBC)
Why We Do Them:
The Diabetes Panel is designed to monitor blood sugar levels and assess complications related to diabetes. FBS and PPBS provide a snapshot of blood glucose control, while HbA1c shows long-term sugar control over 2-3 months. The lipid profile checks cholesterol levels, as diabetics are at higher risk for heart disease. Kidney function tests and urine microalbumin detect early signs of kidney damage, which is a common complication of diabetes. CBC evaluates overall blood health, ensuring there are no underlying conditions affecting red and white blood cells or platelets.
